India Post offers biz opportunities for MSMEs

New Delhi, Apr 21 (KNN) The air bag manufacturers in the small scale sector can seek business from the India Post which is the country's largest network of postal delivery. 

The opportunity is open to the MSMEs registered with the District Industries Centre, KVIC, Coir Board, NSIC or Directorate of Handicrafts, DGS&D and Handloom or any other body specified by the Ministry of MSME for the supply of nylon air mail bags oxford blue water repellent to the department of posts at its different postal store depots.

The Department of Posts, known as India Post, is a government-operated postal system in India; it is generally referred to within India as "the post office". India Post has about 155,000 branches across the country. The postal service is under the Department of Posts, which is part of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of the Government of India. 

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has invited bids from the manufacturers specified by the Ministry of MSME for supply of nylon air mail bags.
According to the MSME Public Procurement Policy, all public sector units have to do 20 per cent of their procurement from the micro, small and medium sector.
