NEW DELHI: Supported by Ministry of MSME , World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME), will hold an International Conference for SMEs (ICSME) on December 17 at its Noida based headquarter. The Chief Guest of the conference will be P C Sarangi, – Minister of State, Ministry of MSME Government.
Titled, “Achieving inclusive and sustainable Goal through SME 4.0 by promoting SMEs,” the conference aims to promote development initiatives by SMEs and integrating them with the 2030 agenda of achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations, said WASME in an official release.
The other dignitaries attending the conference, include, A N Oozeer, Senior Chief Executive, Ministry of Business, Enterprise, Mauritius Government, Ambassador Kheswar Jankee, Ambassador of Mauritius to Germany , Igor Polikha, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of India, Nagesh Kumar, Director, United Nations, ESCAP, and Sudhir Garg, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
The 23rd edition of WASME Excellence Awards aims at fulfilling one of the fundamental missions to enable SMEs to be more competitive, environment friendly, socially responsive, culturally sensitive and ethical in their business practices by integrating SME development agendas with the Sustainable Development Agenda propounded by the United Nations, added WASME.
Since its inception in 1985, WASME claims to have organised 22 Excellence Awards in different countries including Yugoslavia, Ethiopia, Egypt, Nigeria, Russia, South Africa, Romania, etc.
