Description

Oersted Apparatus To show the effect on electric current on a magnet. It consists of a magnetic needle mounted on a non magnetic pillar and surrounded by a rectangular frame of non magnetic metal wire. The two ends of wire have terminals for passing current. Passage of current through wire causes needle to deflect.
