Linear Expansion Apparatus -Vertical Type Vertical type , specially designed to measure the linear expansion of metals with the help of spherometer , provided with three test rods different metal. It consists of a nickle plated brass steam jacket containing one of the three test rods. Steam jacket has a welded inlet and outlet tube for steam, The centre of jacket carrier an opening for thermometer. The whole assembly is mounted in a heavy metal frame.
