SCAPC Simplex Patch Chord

Description

An SC/APC simplex patch cord is a fiber optic cable with a single SC/APC (Angled Physical Contact) connector at each end, designed for one-way optical signal transmission. The SC/APC connectors feature an 8° angled polish and a green housing, providing excellent return loss (typically =60 dB) and low insertion loss, ideal for high-performance singlemode (9/125 µm) applications. This patch cord is typically jacketed in yellow (for singlemode), with a 2.0 mm or 3.0 mm outer diameter. It is commonly used in FTTx networks, telecom rooms, and data centers for connecting optical transceivers, patch panels, and equipment where minimal signal reflection and high reliability are essential.
