Synergy MSME 2013 offers courses on corporate governance and financial literacy

Kolkata, Sept 16 (KNN)  As part of Synergy MSME 2013, FOSMI (Federation of Small and Medium Industries) West Bengal has organised courses on Financial Literacy and Corporate Governance among others to be held at Milan Mela here.

The courses will be conducted from September 17-21.

The module on Finance Literacy will be conducted over four hours each day by the National Institute of Banking Studies and Corporate Management (NIBSCOM). 

It would cover topics such as financing MSMEs, new and emerging avenues of financing MSMEs, bottlenecks and risk of MSME finance, import export finance and financial management tools for MSMEs, how to select a venture and access finance, how to avoid NPA, how to restructure loans, prepare project reports, and credit rate a venture.

As for the course on Corporate Governance, it will be conducted for two hours each day by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

Corporate Governance would cover – How to open and manage a company, legal aspects, process of incorporation, statutory records, share transfer, loan and charge creation, board procedures, general meetings and filing of records and returns.

There will be other short courses on entrepreneurship development by The National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), Design Development and Export Orientation of Handloom and Khadi Handicrafts; Fire safety by the Fire and Emergency Services Department and Industrial Safety by CII.
