21st Sundarban Kristi Mela O Loko Sanskriti Utsab
NIELIT Kolkata had participated in the 21st Sundarban Kristi Mela O Loko Sanskriti Utsab held at the remote location of Kultali (Basanti) in the South 24 Parganas District during 20th to 29th December 2016.
The above fair-cum-exhibition, held annually in the Sundarbans, had been visited by several thousands of the local populace apart from participation from 35 central and state government institutions like Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, National Council of Science Museum, Bureau of Indian Standards, Geological Survey of India, Indian Space Research Organisation, Eastern Coalfields Limited, Central Sericulture Research and Training Institute, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, West Bengal Renewable Energy Development Agency etc to name a few.
NIELIT Kolkata conducted a special session in the Mela on Digital Payment Awareness on 27.12.16 for the visitors where about 250 students have been introduced, encouraged and educated on the different modes of e-payment such as UPI, e-Wallet etc. They have also been introduced with the usefulness of registration with the NCS Portal for employment purpose by the Model Career Centre being implemented at NIELIT Kolkata.
