With rock point index number, it can calculate the single axial anti-pressure strength to determine the rock different feature at variable directions (to say ratio between different point index Maximum number and Minimum number), that can confirm the zone of weathering, evaluate drilling speed and classify rocks. It is suitable for work at site. Its samples with lower standard are rock samples in engineering exploration or the irregular rock sample by a little adjustment which don’t need special machining. It is of fast testing speed, short testing period, simple operation and low cost compare with normal method.
