Description
Callender and Barne's Continous Flow Calorimeter To determine mechanical equivalent of heat , the apparatus consists of glass tube open at both ends carrying inside a spiral of wire. The inlet and outlet system are connected to glass tube through rubber tubing and carry terminals for electrical supply. A steam of water is made to flow through the glass tube and heated by passing electric current through the spiral wire. The whole apparatus is fitted on a polished wooden board , suplied with constant level tank but without thermometers.
