Searle's Thermal Conductivity App. To find co-efficient of thermal conductivity of copper , it consists of a 30cm. Long copper rod with its one end surrounded with a steam jacket for heating it from a boiler and the other end is kept cool by a streams of water flowing through a spiral tube fitted to the rod, the whole assembly is kept in a wooden case supplied without thermometers.
