GLOCOT PF 60 is a resol type phenol formaldehyde resin which can undergo cross – linking reaction by itself under mildly acidic and baking condition. Resin will set to infusible and hard 3 dimensional network under these conditions. The speed of set will depend upon acid catalyst concentration and temperature of bake. The user may choose these conditions depending upon the desired end result. The cured resin gives water resistant very good stiffness in filter paper. It also gives better folding endurance.
