At Umbergaon was an Industrial town from the start, saw mill like ours flourished with huge demand for packaging with wooden boxes In 1991, “Mehta Wood Industries” was started to Manufacture Plywood and Flush Doors for the retail market which included top builders like Shirke Builders, MHADA Housing, and many more In 1994, It was time to spread our wings so we started with one more Plywood and Flush Doors Manufacturing unit in Nandasan, Near Ahmadabad, in the name of “Deluxe Plywood Pvt. Ltd.” This factory was started with state of art facility to completely manufacture Plywood right from the wooden logs. It was one of a kind unit in INDIA with all of the process to manufacture a Plywood or Flush Doors in house. With more than 1,00,000 sq.ft it is one of the biggest factory that we have. As our business was flourishing we thought of increasing our capacity by adding one more unit in Umbergaon ,Thus “Mahavir Wood Industries “was born in 2002. Thus we added one more unit of 20,000 sq.ft area with a daily production capacity of 500 sheets of plywood. Thus we had reached a production capacity of 2000 sheets of plywood daily thus translating into 64,000 sq.ft of quality material daily. In these years our sawmill business also increased fourfold, by adding new products, such as wooden drums , wooden pallets and wooden crates. Thus we added companies such as, HPCL, Pidilite, Apar Cables, UPL, Polycab Cables, L’Oreal and many more to our customer base with all of these we had completely integrated our businesses upto the manufacturing of plywood and flush doors. Thus we thought about forward integration with the entry into the furniture manufacturing facility.
