Surge vessel is used for to protect the water pipe line from water hammer pressure surge reduction process. The pressure build up in pipe line due to water hammer will be reduce by using this Air vessel which will be act like Shock- Absorber in the pipe line system. This vessels are made of Boiler Quality Steel plates SA-516 Gr. 70 or IS 2041 Gr2 type of material. The standard used is ASME sec 5 and 9 is used to design the vessel to absorb the pressure in pipe line.
