Hyderabad, Mar 24 (KNN) An industry body of the small scale sector in Andhra Pradesh, FSME-AP has approached the election commission seeking suspension of an order of the state electricity regulatory commission which has imposed heavy penalty for MSME consumers for violation of R&C (restriction and control) measures.
In a letter to the Election Commission, President, Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises of Andhra Pradesh (FSME-AP), A P K Reddy said that the implementation of the new power tariff from April 1, 2014 should be held in abeyance as the election code of conduct is in force.
“The decision to hike the power tariff should be left to the new governments in Telangana and Seemandhra (to be formed),” Reddy said.
He said that Communist Party of India (CPI) has also extended support and also approached the Election Commission in this regard.
