B N Talukdar to replace Rajiv Nayan Choubey as new director general of hydrocarbons

NEW DELHI: B N Talukdar, director for exploration in Oil India LtdBSE 4.31 %, will be the new director general of hydrocarbons (DGH). He will replace Rajiv Nayan Choubeyat the oil ministry's techical advisory arm for exploration and production. 

Sources privy to the development said Talukdar was selected by a search committee after interviewing seven shortlisted candidates last week. 

Talukdar, 58, a petroleum engineering graduate from the prestigious Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, has been head of OIL's exploration, development, reservoir management and drilling activities since December 2007.
