KOLKATA: The West Bengal governmenttoday offered 278.5 acres of land to 10 companies both in the private and public sector that has the potential to attract an investment of Rs 1000 crore in the state.
"We have offered land to 10 companies and total quantity is 278.5 acres. This would facilitate Rs 1,000 crore investment," state'sIndustry Minister Partha Chatterjee said.
Among the companies that got land includeDamodar Valley Corporation at Raghunanathpur in Purulia for water pipeline to thermal plant, Jayshree Tea for fertiliser plant and HPCLBSE 2.51 % for LPG bottling at Panagarh industrial park.
Meanwhile, West Bengal Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation will create five industrial park on 100 to 300 acres of land at South Dinajpur, Coochbehar, West Midnapore, Purulia and South 24 Parganas, Chatterjee said.
