VADODARA: The 95-year-old Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI) is for the first time organizing a two-day FGI National Legal Summit 2013 to create legal awareness.
The summit on June 22 and 23 will witness judges from Supreme Court, high court, senior counsels, government dignitaries and advocates, chartered accountants, professionals and law students coming together on a common platform to discuss and deliberate on various segments of laws, its interpretation and best practices.
"This summit will help the participants to deal with legal situations affecting the industry in today's changing times, enabling them and their management to comply with the law of the land as well as help evolve solutions at the time of exigencies and provide guidance for better understanding of laws for effective implementation," FGI president Amit Patel said while addressing mediapersons here on Tuesday.
"During the summit, intellectual property rights, cyber security, banking regulations, arbitration, MSME and competition law will be deliberated upon for better understanding of these subjects," Patel said. tnn

The summit will witness presence of Chief Justice of Bombay High Court Mohit Shah, minister of state for law and justice Pradipsinh Jadeja, retired Supreme Court Judge C K Thakkar, MSU vice-chancellor professor Yogesh Singh, additional advocate general of Gujarat Tushar Mehta, senior counsel Meenakshi Lekhi, senior Supreme Court advocate Pavan Duggal, deputy SP of Noida Dr Triveni Singh among others.
