FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. and the world's largest express transportation company, recently announced the launch of its Ship Site program in India—a business building alliance offering increased access points to experience an even faster, easier and more convenient way to send shipments. The first alliance in the program is with the Bangalore-based printing chain Printo.
In an effort to increase its footprints in India, FedEx is eyeing Customers especially in the small business segment to have an access to FedEx services at 12 high-street Printo locations in Bangalore.

We aim to provide more convenience and accessibility while delivering the same high-quality service, reliability and unparalleled transportation expertise that FedEx is known for,” said Rakesh Shalia, Managing Director, Marketing, FedEx Express Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa.

India's retail sector is worth US$ 350 billion and has a low organized retail penetration of five per cent to eight per cent. According to a PricewaterhouseCoopers, this is now growing at a compound annual growth rate of 15 per cent to 20 per cent. This growing retail sector offers increased opportunities thus positively impacting industries associated with it. The launch of the Ship Site program will not only help FedEx to further expand its retail footprint but will also provide the much needed convenience to customers who wish to copy, print and ship all under one roof.
