NEW DELHI: IL&FS Engineering today said it has received a Rs 266.50 crore contract for construction of elevated viaducts for the Rapid Metro Rail Project in Haryana.
"IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd (IL&FS Engineering Services) has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for Construction of Elevated Viaduct for the Rapid Metro Rail Project, Phase-II (RMRG)," the company said in a statement.
The contract involves construction of single and double track elevated viaduct for Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Ltd (RMRG), a special purpose vehicle (SPV) formed for the implementation of the Project.
"The total value of this contract is Rs 266.50 crore, and the project completion period is 24 months," the statement said.
The company has already executed Phase-I of this RMRG Project, running a length of 5.9 km, that involved design and construction of single and double track elevated viaduct including six elevated station buildings.
RMRG is India's first privately funded Metro which is completely elevated and the project involves innovative design comprising 20 and 25 meters of pre-tensioned box girders and specialised structures like prefabricated steel spans up to 48 meters in length, it added.
The company scrip closed at Rs 32.60 on the BSE, up 2.19 per cent from the previous close.
