New Delhi, May 15: India and Mauritius have good trade relations, It is time for both the countri3es to expand further and let the SMEs come together, Union Minister for MSMEs Karlaj Mishra has said at an event in Mauritius.
Mishra stressed that India is willing to invest in the Mauritian Technological sector by offering low cost technological tools for the MSMEs in Mauritius.
Emphasizing on the importance of the sector, the Minister said that in both the countries MSMEs are important since they offer employment to the citizens and also contributes fair share in the country’s economy.
Kalraj Mishra was on a visit to Mauritius to attend the SME Innovation and Technology Fair in Swami Vivekananda centre in Pailles. He was present at the inauguration along with Sunil Bholah, Minister of Business Enterprise and Cooperatives, Mauritius.
The fair offers the SMEs of various countries to explore the services and products from the latest technology to boost the business further.
More than 25 Indian small enterprises organized by the NSIC are attending the fair and exhibiting the different technologies that the small industries may adapt to increase productivity.
During his visit, Mishra also met the President of Mauritius Ameenah Gurib. Also during a Joint Committee meeting with the Mauritian Counterpart, several MoUs were signed. These MoUs aimed towards collaborative efforts towards capacity building in the sector.
