MUMBAI: State-run IDBI BankBSE -1.47 %today said M S Raghavan has taken charge as its chairman and managing director.
The 58-year-old Raghavan, who joins the bank from Bank of India where he was anexecutive director, succeeds R M Malla, who retired earlier, it said in a statement.
Raghavan, a science graduate and a post-graduate diploma holder in Management and Financial Management, started his career with Indian Overseas BankBSE -0.92 %as a probationary officer in 1976 and has occupied various positions in the credit, operations and IT department in his career, it said.
He is currently a member of Working Group on Model e-governance Plan for industry bodyIndian Banks Association, among other committees, the statement added.
