Chennai, Mar 6 (KNN) The MSME Development Institute (MSME DI) today launched a national web portal here which will act as an interactive tool between the MSME sector and PSUs.
The website www.msmeconnect.com is a joint initiative by National Cyber Safety and Security Standards and the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
The objective of MSME Connect is to enable MSMEs to face challenges in the globalised market by providing information on various schemes offered by central and state government, incentives packages offered by banks and financial institutions and promote vendor development by connecting large scale industries with small and medium scale units, said an official statement.
It will address the current situation of MSME's and at the same time enhance and improve the business of the sector with right inputs and provides the detailed knowledge about the government schemes.
At the event, there was active participation from large scale industry to showcase various products and services available for the small scale industry and legal formalities required to register as an approved vendor.
