New Delhi, Oct 30 (KNN) In a bid to encourage the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the region, a state-level MSME convention cum exhibition program is being conducted on November 17-18 in Bhopal.
Principal Secretary VL Kantarao in a press interview informed about the upcoming event. Kantarao said that the MSM convention first started in the year 2016 in the state and this year it is the subsequent edition of the same.
Besides the MSME convention, he informed that a state-level Swarozgar Sammelan and entrepreneur convention is also planned for the state.
For the upcoming MSME exhibition cum convention, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the event. Also Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Giriraj Singh is likely to be present as the chief guest for the event.
The agenda for the event includes an exhibition in which MSME entrepreneurs will exhibit their products while big industries and public sector units will put up their stalls. The exhibition will provide a platform for big industries and MSMEs to connect and explore the different possibilities of collaboration both in terms of technology and procurement.
Other program on the convention agenda includes a session on Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP).
Under the EDP scheme, a month-long training is imparted to rural and urban literate youths to start their own enterprise and prepare entrepreneurs. They are then helped to set up their enterprise by helping them obtain loans through prevalent schemes in the state.
Also awards under different categories including self-employment MUDRA Yojana and Stand-Up Yojana would be given during the convention to select MSMEs. (KNN/DA)
