MSME workshop on financing energy efficient technologies

New Delhi, Feb 25 (KNN)  In an effort to improve the energy efficiency of manufacturing processes, the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises and GIZ German Development Cooperation are jointly organizing a workshop on financing energy efficient technologies for MSMEs.

Scheduled to be held here on March 3, the workshop will present energy efficiency finance as a business case for MSMEs.

In addition, it will discuss the changes on the scheme for Technology and Quality Upgradation Support to MSMEs (TEQUP) – one of the schemes under National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme (NMCP) from the ministry of MSME which has been modified.

The keynote address will be delivered by Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Madhav Lal.

“The identified stakeholders in the MSME landscape, which need to be addressed while creating awareness for energy efficiency are industry associations, MSME units, Chartered Accountants, fabricators, workers, energy auditors and bankers,” said an official release.

The day long programme will cover topics such as ongoing initiatives and need for consolidation and collaboration, demand and supply side challenges in EET (Energy Efficient Technology) financing- strengthening the supply side, capacity building of bankers on EE (Energy Efficient) financing training objectives and business case EE finance.
