NTPC organizes meet to discuss schemes run by CSR

ALLAHABAD: A meeting of village development advisory committee was organised by NTPC, Rihand CSR group at Conference Hall of Employee Development Centre. Chief Guest of meeting AGM (HR), Rajneesh Rastogi explained the various schemes being run by the CSR section for socio-economic as well as infrastructural development for upliftment of the community.

Prior to this, committee members welcomed the guests by offering bouquets. Welcome speech was given by Manager (CSR), Kanhaiya Lal. In his address, Lal explained activities taken up by 
NTPC Rihand for Project Affected Persons (PAPs) under CSR Schemes. He narrated that NTPC Rihand started Garment Manufacturing Training programme for unemployed ladies and Motor Rewinding Training for ST youths of nearby villages of UP and MP in association with MSME (Govt. of India Enterprises), Varanasi.

Additional rooms for Gram Sabha Chargoda (MP) and Gram Sabha Sirsoti and Bijpur (UP) are being constructed. However, community buildings for Gobha (MP) and Sirsoti (UP) are also being constructed. Free medical camps are being organised with the help of Dhanwantri Hospital, NTPC, Rihand. Village head and Village Development Advisory Committee members of Bijpur, Sirsoti, Dodhar, Nemna, Jarahan, Jheelo Khamariya, AGM (TAC) and others were also present in the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions for betterment of villages. Vote of thanks was given by Sub Officer (CSR), R D Dubey to the participants for their extended cooperation.
