Bhubaneswar, Dec 18 (KNN): In an effort to facilitate, promote and enhance competitiveness of MSMEs in the state, the Odisha government is organising an international trade fair.
The Odisha MSME International Trade fair 2014, the second of its kind in the state is scheduled to be held here from January 1-7, 2014.
An initiative of NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation) and Department of MSME, Government of Odisha, the event featuring live demonstrations and product launches will expose MSMEs to technological development around them.
Among the products that will be displayed are – engineering including electrical, construction equipment and materials, chemicals and petrochemicals, pollution control devices, solar energy equipment, packaging and food processing, information technology and education, textiles, handicrafts, handlooms, transport and tourism, mining and minerals, leather, agro based industries, ceramics and plastic, consumer durables and nondurables.
As far as benefits are concerned participants can network extensively at the B2B andB2C meetings; keep abreast of latest developments, identify partner companies, and interact and build relationship with customers.
It provides an excellent podium to promote 20 per cent public procurement from MSMEs, generate future business leads, showcase product ranges and strengths, increase brand equity and mileage, and make presence felt nationally and internationally.
The event has gained significance over the past year as a brand of immense value and potential as it is visited by several pan-India delegations comprising of buyers from various states all over India.
