NEW DELHI: Philips has entered into global distribution agreement with Delhi based Key Operation & Electrocomponents (KORE), which would allow the Dutch electronics firm to an immediate access to the growing Indian LED market.
The agreement would provide Philips Lumileds, a part of the Philips Electronics, which makes LED ( light emitting diode) products and solutions, availability of domestic market through KORE's network.
Now all Philips Lumileds products are available in India through KORE, the company said in a statement today.
Commenting on the development, Philips Lumileds CEO Pierre-Yves Lesaicherre said,: ED lighting is just beginning to take off in India. But we expect remarkable growth in this market over the next several years, in both commercial and off-grid applications".
The Delhi-based firm would have full access to the products, services and people at Philips Lumileds.
Expressing similarly, Kore Director Praveen Mahajan said: Philips Lumileds has been in the forefront of developing best- in-class LED lighting solutions and KORE is known for its sales, support and large customer base in India providing innate synergies for both of us to partner."
