Promoting industry-centric technologies in agriculture and allied sectors

Bengaluru, Feb 10 (KNN)  National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) is organising an industry meet to promote industry-centric technologies in agriculture and allied sections.
 
Supported by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with MSME Development Institute and KASSIA (Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association), the industry meet will be held here on February-12.
 
While the inaugural address will be given by Chairman and Managing Director, National Research Development Corporation, Rajendra Dobhal, there will be special addresses by Director, MSME DI, S N Ranga Prasad and President, KASSIA, B P Shashidhar.
 
During the event license agreements will be given to licensees of NRDC:  Proprietor, Pest Control Industries, Bengaluru, Hemanth Kumar, for obtaining licenses of 3 technical know-hows’ developed at IIHR, Bengaluru; and Managing Partner, Raj Enterprises, Mysore, Manmohan Chopra, for obtaining licenses of 2 technical know-hows developed at CSRTI, Mysore.
 
As many as three technical sessions will cover various topics relating to the sector. 
 
Technical session one will deal with Technologies in agriculture, food and nutrition sectors by Associate Director of Research (HQ), University of Agricultural Sciences, D Nutan; and Technologies in horticulture and allied sectors by Principal Scientist and Chairman, ITMU, Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (ICAR), A Krishnamoorthy. 
 
On the other hand, the second technical session will cover Technologies in sericulture sector – pre cocoon by Director, Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute (CSB), B B Bindroo, Mysore; and Technologies in Sericulture Sector-Post Cocoon Director, Central Silk Technological Research Institute (CSB), Bengaluru, Arindam Basu.
 
Meanwhile, the third technical session will have to do with Technology based Support Schemes and Incentives for Industries from State Government by Managing Director, Karnataka Council for Technological Upgradation, V Muniyappa; and Technology based Support Schemes and Incentives for Industries from Central Government by Manager-Business Development, National Research Development Corporation, N G Lakshminarayan.
