DELHI: Central Electricity Authority member (power systems) Ravinder will hold additional charge of chairperson of the technical body for three months starting August 1.
He was appointed as member power systems of CEA in September 2011 prior to which he was holding charge as chief engineer systemplanning and project appraisal at the authority.
Prior to CEA, he was chief (engineering) in Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, where he dealt with technical matters in tariff determination for hydro and thermal powerstations and inter-state transmission systems.
He had also been involved in design, engineering, consultancy and appraisal of a number of thermal coal and gas based powerstations.
The present chairperson A S Bakshi of the authority is set to retire on August 1.
