Bhubaneswar, Oct 25, (KNN) A Rs 40-crore plastic park will soon come up in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district, an initiative which would help investments by micro, small, medium and large units and is expected to create employment opportunities in the region.
The project which has been granted by the central government is to be set up by a special purpose vehicle called “Paradeep Plastic Park Limited” near Paradeep Refinery. It will have the necessary state-of-the art infrastructure.
“With these stimuli, opportunities will be provided to entrepreneurs in and around Balasore, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Paradeep, and other districts of Odisha to set up new ventures, expand their operations and also to compete globally in this sector,” Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers Srikant Kumar Jena said while sanctioning the plastic park.
He said that these projects envisaged in the region would have big social and economic benefits, as they will create direct and indirect employment openings for thousands of people.
