Srinagar, May 6 (KNN) Asking entrepreneurs in Kashmir to shift their focus from traditional form of business to online platform e-commerce, Joint Director, Handicrafts Kashmir Sajid Yahya Naqaash said there are tremendous opportunities in online market.
He was speaking at a 5-day workshop titled ‘E-commerce Management and Planning’, organized by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Institute Srinagar in collaboration with Department of Handicrafts. Addressing the entrepreneurs, he said “Now the time has changed and the domain of middle man has come to an end. The entrepreneurs can get 90% profit of their products and its reach is worldwide.” He said that most of the businesses have shifted online and there are also many opportunities in the market. As many as 25 artisans and four assistant handicraft training officers of the department were given a technical and a practical know how about the different facets of marketing via e-commerce mode.
