Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.—Direct marketing and list management company Specialists Marketing Services has merged with Spectra Data Group and Spectra Products. The combined company will be called SMS Marketing Services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The merger brings together Spectra Data's focus on online and mobile marketing as well as its list-management business, and Spectra Products' alternate media capabilities, including placing ads on statements, receipts and boarding passes.
Spectra Data Group is based in Philadelphia, and Spectra Products is headquartered in Johnson City, N.Y. While independent, they have the same CEO, Dave Thornbury, who will be CEO of the new company.
Specialists Marketing Services President-CEO Lon Mandel will be president of SMS Marketing Services.
