MUMBAI: Surya Roshni, the second largest lighting products company in India, is aiming to achieve revenue of Rs 250 crore fromLED segment by 2016.
"The performance of lighting division continues to show robust growth. We have taken up expansion plans at our lighting division and looking at achieving revenue of Rs 250 crore from LED segment by 2016, which we have started recently," Surya RoshniBSE 4.44 % managing director B Raju told PTI here.
The higher sales in lighting division have partly been accounted by new products like LED and new lighting systems, geographical expansion and exports, Raju said.
The company is also adding in its product portfolio LED bulb for 5W & 7W. This is likely the first LED bulb in India which conform to recently published LED Indian standard. This lamp bring all the advantages of LED such as long life, free of mercury and substantial energysavings, Raju added.
In the steel division, we have introduced a new range of steel pipes which are well received by the customers. We look forward to continuing strong performance in quarters ahead, he added.
Meanwhile, Surya Roshni said its net profit grew by 19 per cent to Rs 14.19 crore as against Rs 11.90 crore during the corresponding period last year. EBIDTA is at Rs. 54.28 crore as against Rs. 48.55 crore in the corresponding year ended June 2012.
Sales of lighting division increased by 21 per cent to Rs 265.50 crore as against Rs 219.35 crore for the quarter ended June 2012. Sales of steel division increased by 9.06 per cent to Rs 494.50 crore as against Rs 453.43 crore during the corresponding period last year
