NEW DELHI: Isuzu Motors India today said it has appointed Takashi Kikuchi as its Managing Director to lead the company's drive in the country.
He will be based at corporate headquarters in Chennai and will be responsible for overall operations and growth of the company, Isuzu Motors India said in a statement.
In his last role at IsuzuBSE -1.08 % as Senior Executive Officer, Project Executive, Japan, Kikuchi was instrumental in developing robust business plans and driving business growth.
With over 30 years of experience within Isuzu, holding a host of senior leadership positions, he has a proven track record, playing a crucial role in company's global strategy and scaling operations in international markets, it added.
"In his earlier roles at Isuzu, he has managed company's businesses in Asia as President of Isuzu Motors Asia and Thailand as President of Isuzu Motors Thailand," the statement said.
Earlier this year, the company had announced it would set up a manufacturing plant inAndhra Pradesh at an investment of Rs 1,500 crore over 5-7 years. The plant would have a capacity of 1.2 lakh units per annum.
