UBI sanctions credit, adopts clusters during Synergy MSME 2013

Kolkata, Sept 25 (KNN)   United Bank of India, which is the convenor of the state level bankers’ committees (SLBC) offered solutions concerning MSME advance issues while playing an active role in the recently concluded Synergy MSME 2013 conclave held here from September-18 to 21.

The event held at Milan Mela saw the participation of various entrepreneurs from small and medium business units, as well as artisans who needed information related to MSME advances.

More than a 1000 visitors attended the conclave where UBI set up a counter.  The Bank also organised a credit delivery camp during which the Finance Minister of West Bengal distributed letters of sanction to entrepreneurs availing credit facilities from the Kolkata based regions of UBI.

As many as 60 entrepreneurs including 25 members of three clusters in Dattapukur received sanction letters from UBI.

Significantly, UBI which has already adopted seven clusters in West Bengal intends to adopt more in the near future.

That the UBI Bank is committed to the MSME sector is evident from the number of MSME products it offers.  While it has special MSME branches, it is also present in several clusters and has held campaigns during which loans were offered to entrepreneurs.  It also trains its staff on the needs of the sector and has a mechanism to rehabilitate sick units and also address their grievances.
